The Director (2018)

A 'serious' filmmaker desperately attempts to make a 'serious' documentary on homelessness.

The Director is a dark, satirical comedy about ignorance and prejudice. Produced by Shout Out UK, the film is presented as an abandoned documentary on homelessness made by a cruel and bigoted filmmaker ('Patrick').

In spite of its wackiness though, The Director comes from a place of genuine empathy. The film is ultimately about the kind of people in this world that allow homelessness to persist as a result of their bigotry and ignorance. The Patrick’s of this world. They are the people this film mocks.
